Is Jack P Shepherd (David Platt in Coronation Street) any relation to Jack Shepherd who played Supt. Wycliffe in the series of that name ? Totally different personalities I know, but stranger coincidences have happened.

Jack P was on a program recently and said he`d added the P because another actor had the same name.Didnt say they were related though.
