I have a rectangular piece of grass outside my house(about 10x20ft) that myself and neighbour keep tidy but we are suffering from people using it as a toilet for thier dogs,i'm a dog(and cat)owner myself so i don't want to use anything that might harm an animal,is there animal friendly way i can keep dogs off this patch of grass... thanks in advanse.

david - Have you got cctv? If you haven't, I would buy it, they are not that expensive. Then you can go out if you think the owners are going to take their animal on your grass. Also, if you have ebay, there are signs for sale ' Please keep off the grass - Item number - 280144821276

Put a big sign out saying This is not a dog toilet please exercise you dogs elsewhere I am photographing offenders to send to the police!!! It is an offence!!

Chop up a strong onion , or sprinkle curry powder on it .
Works as a cat repellent .
