Diesel engines are made from stronger stuff than petrol engines and have much higher compression ratios anything is possible but as Zac says more than its worth.
No it's not.
Any Nissan dealer would be happy to turn your car into a diesel, but it would come back with a different registration number, and most likely a different colour.
dont think nissan had a diesel engine for the micra in 95.did they?
Why on earth would you want to do that? Unless the existing engine is completely ruined, and even then I would still recommend scrapping it! After all, even in good condition the car is only worth about 500.
Apart from which a diesel would probably require a modified gearbox, electrical system and fuel system. And then your insurance premiums would likely go up because it is modified. If you really want a diesel car then go out and buy one.
you cant convert a petrol engine into a diesel .stupid !
I think, hope, he means swapping the engine for a diesel unit rather than converting!!
