I'v been trying to mate my yorkie bitch for the last two seasons with no joy the male dog belongs to a friend of mine he's same size(small) but very spoil't he's very willing and my dog is but he dose'nt seem to keep it going and soon gives up although he tried many times they havent got tied he only seems to be able to go for a short time before he's tierd out i dont think he gets much exercise as she carrys him eveywhere could this be the problem? thanks in advance

She may not have been ready, or didnt open up properly, not all bitches can be mated, and not all dogs are willing studs.

Has he been used before?

Is there any reason you wish to use this particular dog?

Are both dogs tested for hips/knees and dna tested for genetic faults?

yes he has been used before but when he was younger he fathered 6 puppy and my friend has is son i though when the bitch is wiling and not fighting the dog off she was ready? dont know what you mean by open up she been bleeding and is swallon and pushing her self t him theres no real reason to se him its just that he's small like my dog and he belongs to my friend

no there has been no test i just wanted to let her have one set of puppys i was going to keep one but i might just buy another one

I would strongly advise you to by one in rather than have a litter, it is a big responsibility to find loving permanent homes for puppies. People who say they want one when you mention it suddenly find all sorts of reasons not to have one when they are ready to go. Advertising means you may know nothing about the potential buyers.

You could also put your bitch at risk, particularly if she is small. She may need a c section if she is unable to give birth naturally, and this could cost hundreds of pounts and you might even lose the bitch and puppies. You have tried twice, maybe it is not meant to be, so go find yourself a lovely new baby and enjoy without all the trauma of breeding.
