New York Continental

Has anybody flown with Continental from UK to New York Newark? If so what is the airline like, meals, tv etc?

We used Continental Airlines 18 months ago to fly from Glasow to Newark.
I found no problems. Food was typical airline food and shared TV screens.. Staff were friendly and we would fly with them again.

I flew with them about 18 months ago also (Manchester to Newark). The food was okay (as cruella says - typical airline food) but we had the individual screens. I flew BA Manchester to JFK earlier this year and I preferred the Continental flight. I would fly with them again rather than BA.

I flew with them just over a year ago and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a basic airline but found them as good as any airline we'd flown with.

They brought round a meal and a snack later and constantly supplied us with glasses of iced water, tea and coffee without us having to ask for them.

There were 2 films shown (admittedly a couple of years old), and a few episodes of Father Ted etc so at any time during the journey you were able to watch something.

We also found the aeroplane clean and tidy and the staff courteous and helpful

Did Glasgow/Newark with them. They were nothing to rave about, but certainly OK for the money.
