Thanks everyone. I have finished that corner now but still have 2 clues unanswered. 10 ac still has me puzzled and 7d Small-scale.-- not like the style of Pope's Homer (8) u - - - r - - c.
I think 4d must be 'defective' as I have all the odd-numbered letters for that word and cannot find anything else to fit.
