Kenya - what can i buy for my money

I'm going to Kenya soon and have found out that �1 rougly equates to 135 kenyan shillings, however, how cheap is over there and what can i buy for my money, ie. cigarettes and food? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I went to Kenya about 3 years ago. I stayed in a hotel with full board accommodation so I never ate out much. I bought loads of jewellery from anything from 60p upwards. I remember cigarettes were very cheap. We went to a large supermarket and bought loads to bring back. It wasn't expensive but it depends on what you are buying. It was a lovely experience. I thought Kenya was great. People tended to follow you around though and keep trying to hassle you to buying things non stop.
