Looking for the explanation please for .. 15a ... Welsh flower's always stuck in tin (6) ... if the answer is severn what has that got to do with Welsh flower please ...?????

I don't know the particular crosswrd, but read flower as a river as in flowing and that will help

Many thanks for your explanation on this one ... flower as something that flows is very good ....trouble is I always thought the Severn was in England particularly as it flows literally at the end of our street and we live live in Somerset. Thank you both again Regards
The Severn rises in the mountains of North Wales, hence for its first few miles it is a Welsh river.
Crossword compilers frequently use the word flower to mean something which flows, in the same way they will use the word number to mean something which is more numb or something which numbs....
