A dream or a long lost memory??
4 Answers
Last night while flicking thru an encyclopaedia of world history with my kids I came across an illustration of a battle during the american civil war. Swapping playing cards came instantly to my mind. Were there ever cards like these on sale with chewing gum as collectibles in the u.k. I am talking about 30 years or so ago. If the answer is yes I would really like to know the approx date.

The story is that some kids took them to a bank and got them changed into Sterling!!
This series was very popular with everyone until they were replaced by Mars Attacks!! series of cards.
