can anyone tell me how long a bottle of brandy can keep for unopened, i have one from more than 10 years ago and am not sure if it is safe to drink,thank you.

Kept in a cool and stable atmosphere out of direct sunlight, and as long as the seal remains intact, spirits don't go off. And the idea that they don't improve with age in the bottle isn't true. But once opened, oxidisation will occur, and after some years, the flavour may not be quite as good, but it still won't do you any harm.
