A short question on immigrants.

At what point, when an immigrant comes to this country and raises a family, does that immigrants descendents stop being immigrants?.

Well, technically, an immigrant is only an immigrant if s/he's emigrated from somewhere else and come here. So if our newcomer chum has children here, they are hence not immigrants.

Also an immigrant would stop being an immigrant if they took naturalisation of the country they go to. For example my father became a naturalised UK citizen, mt relatives in the states now have US citizenship.

When I posted, I had in mind a question fron 'News', It was about Muslims, and the inferrence that all Muslims were Immigrants.

Thats obviously not the case, but I just wondered what others might think,

I tried to post as a non political, as I didn't want to get too deep into it.
