Hey everyone,

I'm due to have an MRI Scan for my knee on Saturday. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the results?

My fella said it'll take two weeks?!

Depends when your next appointment with the consultant is. After my scans it has been anything from 2 weeks to 3 months - thats on NHS. If you've gone private then maybe quicker.

flippin eck... no i'm on NHS. My MRI appointment came really quickly - only a week after seeing my consultant so hopefully my consultant appointment wont take too long!
Hi nat , the results usually take a couple of weeks , but you may not get to know until your next appointment .
However , the hospital department will have written off to your GP with the results so it may be worth asking there after 2 weeks . The people at the scan usually tell you anyway nat :-) All the best xx
