getting a bit of a cookery lesson from a friend and she said I need cooks string in order to tie some pork. Where can I get this from and does it really have to be cooks string?

If you are roasting you should use a high heat twine as Boo says above - online from here too: http://www.cookshop.uk.com/product_results.htm l?subcat=36 used these guys before and pleased with their service...
