There are people who will do this, but it is essentially breaking copyright laws. Have a word with your local disco equipment shop, or record shop for the audio tape question, and your local independent video retailer for the visuals, someone will do it, or know someone who will.
You're welcome as always T. It's one of those laws that is breached so often, no-one really bothers about it. Copying for your own use is unlikely to be a problem, it's when you get into wholesale copying that you run into problems. While I have your attention, it was you that put me onto Kazaa, and I don't lnow if I ever thanked you for that, so if I forget, then thanks, and if i didn't, well, thanks again!
Thanks seal - I am well aware of the 'Trojan Horse' aspectof Kazaa, and I have some pretty stonking anti-pirate software that i run frequently to clean up my hard drive.
copying cds, tapes, dvds is NOT illegal. It only becomes illegal if you do so for reproduction for distribution. Eg you are allowed to make a copy as a backup, providing the original remains also in your property and is not sold on. In this case you are allowed to copy the cassette to CD as you are making a backup of the original (all be it in a different format) as long as you remain the owner of the original and the copy. In answer to the question there are many software apps. (some freeware) which will do this so you just need a connector between your hi-fi and the computer (bought at music stores or PC world i imagine) then you can copy away for free!
Kazaa Platinum http://www.kazaa-platinum.com recently came into market. I bought it & I think this was the best choice I ever made.
It gives me specific results for my music & movie downloads, unlike Limewire or any other Kazaa.
It also gives a free anti virus programme , free Ipods/ Mp3 transfer software, free CD burning software free, all in just 29.50 $ one time lifetime fee.
I must say it is a revoultion in music / movies downloads.
