Winmx!!!

I currently use a form of kazaalite of which I generally feel is very good, however everyone within this forum seems to recommend Winmx. So I thought that I would give Winmx a try. Everything that I attempted to download was queued and I never succeeded in downloading anything. My question is ....What was I doing wrong as this appears to be the best p2p program according to fellow abers? Many thanks in advance!

There are a couple of tricks to getting WinMX to work better for you.....I always run a search for something very popular first of all like the beatles and see how many results your current connection pulls in...if it doesn't seem thatmany then refresh and retry.

WinMX will make you Q up for rarer stuff but if you have broadband then simply wait and you should get it eventually.

winmx is a waste of time in my opinion. i dl'ed albums from there and most seem to be 'albumwrap' files which are 1 long track rather than individual songs. if its single songs u want - use imesh or kazaa - if its whole albums u want use bit torrent thru suprnova.org or various other good torrent sites. no queuing and the files are always what they claim to be - no false posts like with kazaa

I currently use, Kazaalite, Winmx,and BitTorrent for my downloads,but I probably use Kazaalite the most.Winmx is pretty good,but as you mentioned,you can end up being in a Q for several days if the file you want is large and very popular.I use BitTorrent thru Supernova for any large files I want because I seem to get a much better download speed, but I do find that many of the files I want are not listed on Supernova.org yet.
