Problems Hot-synching my Palm Pilot, m100

I can't seem to get my Palm Pilot to hot synch with my laptop. Can someone tell me what I might can do to get it working? Anything dealing with Ports?

Did you connect your Palm prior to installing the software? Un-install everything via control panel. Make sure the USB cable is disconnected.. then reinstall provided software and THEN connect your PDA and it should work using it's hotsync application.
