Is it possible to successfully take a cutting from a twisted willow?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Thank you both for takin the time to answer :) I know that willow usually grows like heck... i snapped a twig off a willow tree when i was out and about and planted it in a pot and away it went.... its massive now and i have just taken two more (I am planning to keep it in a huge pot coz i cant really afford to have it left to grow massive... that should be ok shouldnt it?) However my friend has a twisted willow and she took a tendril/branch from it and tried to get it to grow and for some reason it didnt take. I think that she's maybe just been terrribly unlucky though, espescially after your replies too... so i will give it another go!
