Gold Sovereigns
4 Answers
I have 4 gold sovereigns to sell in the Cardiff area. Two 1912, one 1914 and one 1918. All in mint condition. I don't want to go through ebay. Does anyone have an idea of what price I should expect? Or even where I should sell them?

good luck... I see Coincraft are selling some (older than yours) for about 125; this suggests they'd buy them for about the price I mentioned. That sounds like a huge profit, but you are paying for their expertise in identifying and pricing the coins; also, they may have to keep them and advertise them for some time before they are sold, and run their business and pay the rent etc. So I'm guessing you would get something in the region of 40 per coin. If not, don't be afraid to visit, or just ring up, other dealers and see if they'll give you a no-strings quote.
