Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I'm going mad and only had one response in technology. I am on facebook and have all these new (old) friends wanting to be my friend, which is just super. However, several of the links have just stopped working. I click on them and nothing happens. So I can't reply to messages, confirm friends or update my status. This started happening yesterday. I even can't message facebook to ask for help!
Does anyone know if this is facebook or my PC's problem? THANKS so!

sometimes that happens on facebook - just a error but should go back to normal soon...mine was like it for four days before....was not inpressed - had nothing to do in work lol
Are you using a different PC? Because that happens to me on the computers at work, but at home it's fine.
Is facebook just a UK site out of interest, have just seen someone on there who could possibly be related to me and would like to know.???
Facebook started at universities in the US - there are people from all over the world on it.

As to your prob Scarlett, I've had that on FB occasionally too - normally sorts itself out eventually.

Are cookies enabled on your PC?

I'm not sure Sasha. How does one enable cookies?!
If you are on facebook, please have a look at this. I was on it and got out when this came to light. It is up to each individual and many won't be bothered by this, but I found this report really unsettling. I felt that by staying on facebook I was condoning this kind of bahviour and control over our privacy. But, you must make your own mind up. Best wishes

Facebook and your privacy ...
That's an interesting report that you've posted - I must admit things like this did cross my mind, but it's easy to set up your profile so that there is no personal information - and anyone who puts phone numbers and email addresses on any public site deserves what they get if you ask me.

Scarlett - to check for cookies go to 'tools' then 'internet options' then select the 'privacy' tab at the top. If this is set too high it may affect Facebook - mine's on medium and I have no problems - just logged on now ok.
It's coz facebook is pash. Wouldn't get that on other social networking sites.....
Facebook's wicked!!
