changing audio formats

i want to upload a song to my phone but i want just the chorus of the song so i edite the song on windows movie maker but the format they put itin is .wma , and when tryign to transfer the song to my phone it says its not an audio file so im guessing it needs to be.mp3 how do i change the format?
