Water noise in Vauxhall Corsa (R)
When starting the car (and sometimes whilst driving) water can be heard from the engine. It sounds like it's running through all the pipes.
I checked the coolant and there was only a tiny pool in there. It was filled up only 3 weeks ago. I put water in it and started the car. I couldn't see anything. It was only later when passing the car I noticed water under the exhaust. So it seems the liquid is passing through there. Does anyone know what could have happened? The temperature gauze and switch were replaced 3 weeks ago. Could the mechanic have missed something? Spoke to him today and he says these things happen. But I seem to be having one problem after another. I was going to take it to Vauxhall but thought I would check if anyone here knows anything.
Thanks.
(And thanks for the previous help I got from a couple of you).

As Toureman says - he probably didn't bleed the cooling system properly after putting the new switch in.
water from the exhaust is most likely condensation after starting the car - it should disappear after the engine has warmed up - One of my Corsa's had the same problem - turned out to be the head gasket had gone and cost me 300 to repair - but if yours has only done it since the new switch was put in - i'll stick with the airlock diagnosis.
Wouold suggest taking it to a competent mechanic and get him to bleed the cooling system prorperly.

Thanks Woodchopper. I will try and get it checked in this coming week.
I've been a bit paranoid since getting the clutch replaced in June. Mechanics bodged things up and since then had to get it fixed by another mechanic which in total cost another 100. Been thinking to write to the garage to see if they would compensate. Was in June so not sure if worth it.
Anyway, thanks a lot.
