I need a new quilt & pillows. I can't decide whether to go for duck down, goose down, polyester, hollow fibre. Can anyone give me any advice on their opinions please. Thanks.

First of all, it depends on wheter you have allergies to feathers.
If not, duck down or goose down quilts are lovely. Goose can work out extremely expensive.
My hubbie and I have a duck down quilt. It is a beautiful quilt, not too heavy yet warm and cosy.
Think I paid about 150 for that a few years ago.
I do not like feather pillows at all. YOur hed tend to leave an indentation on them and they do not lend a lot of supprot while asleep.
Think it is up to the individual what preference they have.

Thanks for your advice. No allergies. Probably go for duck down quilt. Ive had polyester & cotton pillows, but they bunch up in the middle eventually, as does hollow fibre quilts. Thanks again.
A couple of years ago Mr Spudqueen and I decided we needed a new duvet and took ourselves off to John Lewis where a VERY helpful man told us all about the different types of duvets then left us to make our choice. We did decided on a duck down duvet and are so glad we did - it is soooooooo nice.
Personally I don't sleep well on anything other than feather pillows with a down/feather duvet, all encased in pure cotton covers.
