eCheque on eBay

I have made a purchase on eBay for �1499.00. I believe I followed the normal purchasing process however my paypal account says that I have paid by eCheque and that it will take 8 days to clear.
I definately have enough money in my bank account to cover the cost so why would it not transfer immediately like other purchases?

hi shivvy, i had similar problems a while back - the reason it happened to me is that i had been issued a new debit card and i hadn't updated my paypal. have you have a new card??
