Olympus Camedia C-460 Digital Compact Camera
7 Answers
We have had the above camera a couple of months and I have had a look through the bumph we received with it, but I can't determine whether there is a timer function on it. Do any of you know if there is, and how to use it please? This is rather urgent as we need to take a picture on timer for our daughter's homework. thank you.

It was bought from a large, well known store but all we have in the box is: Guarantee, Safety Precautions, Quick Start Guide, Notices on Batteries, Installation Guide etc, BUT no Basic Manual, so I shall have to contact the company and request one. In the mean time, we still need to sort out the picture by timer for our daughter's homework...
cooggles here is a web address for Olympus lots of manuals to download might get lucky.....

Herewith the instructions;
1. Open the lens barrier fully
2. Press the bottom downward pointing pointer (with the little clock underneath). The current self-timer setting is displayed (on or off)
3. Press the bottom downward pointing pointer again to switch between self-timer on or off. The setting changes between on or off each time this pointer is pressed. When the self timer mode is selected a little clock appears in the monitor.
4. Take the picture by pressing the shutter button on the top in the ordinary way. The self-timer lamp (a little red light on the front underneath the flash) lights up for approximately 10 seconds, and then starts blinking. After blinking for approximately 2 seconds the picture is taken with a beep sound. The self-timer is automatically cancelled after one shot.
