so we are led to believe an arrest is due in britain very soon, and that over a million pounds has been donated to the mccann fund so far, as the mccanns have said they havent touched a penny of it just what will the money be used for if and when this person has been arrested, does anyone know??

I believe she was abducted. I think her parents just want her back and they used the media to do this but as there has been no evidence and no one knows what happened the media are now just writing anything about it as they know it will sell papers because there are a lot of people interested in the story.

she is missing and her body has not been found.
all the photos i have seen of Madeleine show a very happy little girl some were taken just before she went missing. i do not think her parents had anything to do with it. if there was any evidence that they did they would now be classed as suspects or would be arrested.

There is no evidence Maddie has been abducted, either.

I take everything I read in the newspapers with a pinch of salt. However the media is all anyone has to go on, eh? the papers started off by reporting that Maddie was abducted. As there is no evidence of that they are bound to report otherwise...aren't they?

ive said all along that they have no proof she was abducted, but because she has disappeared most people assume that she was. still think its all very strange

Why is it that whenever I mention the possibilty of Maddie wandering off (which I did, immediately after the news broke) people look at me as if I am crazy?

As a mum that would have been my first thought..and given the lack of evidence of an abduction I would still be thinking that.

i agree with you, until they have proof she was abducted they have to believe she could easily have wandered off along with other explainations

Why dont people just focus their spirit and energy on Madeleine and seeking her safe return. We live in a world which could do with a pleasant surprise now and then.

Then, then, there can be time for bitching and recrimination. I cannot stomach that type of carry-on and useless comment, otherwise.

yes i think the most important thing is of course for madeleine to be found safe.
Obviously nobody knows what has happened thats the problem, but i really do think that if she had wandered off she would have been found by now and the chances are if it hadnt been soon after she went missing she would not have survived. That would mean her body would probably have been found as it would probably not be well hidden.
There have been other children in the past that have gone missing with no trace or evidence. It is possible for someone to abduct a child and leave no evidence at all.

This whole thing stinks, Its such a horrible situation and as a parent myself I just cant imagine what pain I would feel and how I would react with the press. There are so many rumours, the Fund is not a charity but a business with the McCann�s and some of there friends as directors, clumps of hair in the tyre well of the hire car� the hire car was hired by the press for them etc etc, was she actually on the holiday? How comes if she was screaming for two hours the other two kids didn�t wake up??? coz three kids screaming would be very noticeable, but it seems only one person heard in a busy resort and she is in her seventies? �.. As a parent we all have different ideas� my wife and I have always taken the kids with us when ever we have gone out on holiday its there holiday too and when they were smaller they would curl up on a couple of chairs or climb in there pram� When we have wanted to have some adult time its been with a nice bottle of wine on the balcony� once we left them with a paid hotel nanny to go out for a meal� we couldn�t relax and came home after just half an hour, we deciding that was the first and last time.. I gather that the McCann�s used Nanny�s during the day and left them during the night which doesn�t set a close nit family scene to me.
We don�t mamby pamby our kids, Grand parents are there when my wife and I want a weekend away, and our family holidays mean just that, family all four of us� The truth will eventually surface and when it does I think it will be half expected which ever way it goes�. we can all throw the blame around and argue the evidence, really we should focus this energy on our own family�s, when the kids say Mum/Dad can you play with me.. find the time. They are special and cant be replaced�.Ever since this terrible thing happened I seem to hug my girls that little longer�
