moon???

For my son's homework this monday he was told to record the moon for 28 days; its shape that is. However all this week we have yet to spot a moon at all!
Gonna sound a bit blonde here but can the moon disappear for days?

Wow, what strange homework. Anyway, i always go out and watch the moon. In the morning if i can't sleep i go outside, sit on my bench and look out at the moon. Its really relaxing.
Anyway, i've never never, seen the moon.

The Moon is there always, but so are clouds sometimes, and when it is a crescent moon anyway, so less visible, it can be covered, but you can always see the button.

Hi sunflower take no notice of the previous posts and you will have to excusse my spelling as had a few beers.
An answer to your question is yes and no (thats connfused you already hasent it) the moon in this country never dissapears it is always there but if you go to a country on the eaquter then it does dissaper (told you about spelling) I have been to the gambia many times and that is 3,000 miles directley south from england and is right on the equater and there is no moon there sometimes and I have been there when there is none and it is so brill it is so dark that all you can see is peoples teeth smilling comming towards you and I am not joking here.

The last time we went there and there was no moon we saw a metiorite burning up in the earths athmosmere and that was such an experiance even though we saw it for about 10 seconds but we saw it very plainley
