Sadly these days it is common to read about cases of child abuse in the news but we rarely hear about a female being involved in the abusing. Do you think this is because women don't commit these acts or that they are just found out less often.
The story in the news link is more shocking because of the meticulous planning that went into procuring the children concerned. I hope the perverts get what they deserve in prison.

Dirty animals. They should have hung them.
Hi Daffy,

It depends on what type of abuse you are talking about. If it is sexual abuse, then more men seem to be responsible, but we often hear about cruely or violence towards children and this seems to be mostly carried out by women.
And this could start the great debate on AB
" Bring back hanging " ????

Hi TEAK36 I think you are probably right, women can be pretty vicious. There was that case a few months ago where the female members of a family were in court for making toddlers fight each other and they filmed it on their mobiles. You rarely hear of sexual abuse by a woman which is what makes it more shocking when you do.

PatriciaH, I do think that we should bring back some form of capital punishment for certain crimes. I know people will argue about those who are proven innocent after they have been convicted but that doesn't happen too often...sometimes a conviction is quashed on a technicality and that does not mean the person is innocent, just that the trial was faulty in some way.
I don't think women carry out this type of abuse as much as men by a long shot. On the whole, it seems ( to me) to be men who are generally preoccupied with a sexual fetish.

Teak, I'm not justifying anyone abusing their kids but I would have thought if you looked at time spent in children's company, the ration of fathers that abuse to time spent with child would be much higher. If that makes any sense!
It is definately more common for men to sexually abuse children and i think maybe more boys are abused, who then go on to do it themselves.
I think hanging them is an easy way out for them and not as bad a punishment as locking them up, but people like this should be locked up for life, meaning until they die.
We should stop putting drug addicts and people who commit petty crimes in prison and leave money and space for people who do serious things like this, so they can stay in there for life.
I totally agree aims.
Leave with one meal a day, no perks, no chance of parole, No tv, no swimming pools, no gyms, and all the rest that these ratbags get when they go inside. Leave to rot with nothing but their own thoughts to keep them company.
Lets hope the foul woman gets a special friend in the shape of a 6 feet 2 Eastern European shot putter- come-ganster dyke who has full access to the marrows in the prisons green house.

Failing that, let the dog kill herself. But pray it is a slow, painful suicide.
I think they are found out less often, daffy.

I also think you will find that there are many women involved in cases like this ~ not actually doing the abusing but 'helping out' as it were. I have read many cases of girlfriends, sisters and mothers involved in crime like this in some way..whether it is commiting the abuse or standing by, or indeed helping find the victims.

I actually find it more terrible that this woman is a church goer. Her gender means nothing to me at all.
I think hanging's too good for these people!! Put them in a room full of angry parents and let them take whats coming to them.
