leaving school at 18

do year 11s starting this year in sept 2007 have to stay until they reach 18 or is it next years intake

It's certainly not the year 11s in Sept 2007, as this is my daughter's year and she would flip! I have just Googled it and according to the Guardian " The school leaving age will rise from 16 to 17 in 2013 and to 18 in 2015." Hope this helps.

it is only the new year 7s but what horrible people can make them do dat we r lucky we r not in ireland cause we wuld have 2 stay until 21
