hi someone please help me, my memory is driving me mad! Last year I read a really good book about a woman who whilst on the run from the police because she thinks she's murdered someone, sets up home in a small town in America. Everything goes well until she's spotted by a journalist and then she's arrested and has to face trial. Alongside this story is one where her friend who is in a wheelchair because of a sledging accident develops a relationship with the said journalist and the story revolves around them as much as the woman charged. The book was part of a series set in the same town.
