Country hotel for birthday

I'm looking for a nice cosy country hotel not too far from london to book for a night to stay for my birthday with my boyfriend. Somewhere with four-poster beds, big bath tubs and log fires would be ideal, not too expensive. Any ideas?

You could try going on www.tripadvisor.com it is a great site where you can read reviews of hotels from people who have stayed there. I always use this site when booking holidays, weekends away etc

you could also look on lastminute.com and they have a special section for weekends away in country hotels
