Shakespeare Ghosts

I have used two online quiz sites tat have stated that ghosts appear in four Shakespeare plays - Ham, Mac, Jul C and Rich III. However, a reference book by Trevor Montague lists 3 ghosts in the dramatis personae for Cymbeline. Which is right?

Thanks for the agreement IAP. These were both 'user-generated' sites with 'report invallid questions' icons. I reported but have no response.

As the defintive answer is probably at least five then I'd be interested in what source(s) persuaded two separate (or possibly not) quizmasters that it was four.

Makes sense IAP.

The first question was straightforward 'How many WS plays feature ghosts?' The second mentioned that there were four in the preamble. It then went on to claim that the title character in Hamlet was the ghost. I got a minus point for that question and was a bit ticked off.

I always thought that the father was called Hamlet too but as the full title is Hamlet: Prince of Denmark, it's pretty obvious that the title characer was the son, who was alive for almost all of the play.

Hamlet's father is DEFINITELY Hamlet senior - I played Horatio last year so should know! :)

Yes, it�s made clear that Hamlet�s father was also named Hamlet.
