Can anyone give me the directions, by underground and on foot, from Selfridges in Oxford Street to Wembley Arena please and also some idea of how long it would take to get from one to the other? Many thanks.

walk along Oxford Street to Bond Street station, then Jubilee Line direct to Wembley Park (or change to a fast Metropolitan train at Finchley Road); from Wembley Park either walk south via Wembley Park Drive & Empire Way, or get 83 or 182 Bus.
Total journey time about 50mn.

thank you so much for that. may i ask a couple more questions please....is it too far to comfortably walk the last part? and will the tubes still be running after a concert (i dont want to make incorrect assumptions and get in a muddle!)
the last part can be walked in about 10mn, in my book that's easily walkable.

the last train from Wembley Park to central London is 00h21. that should be late enough for most events at Wembley, but you should check the promoter's website, just in case.
I'm guessing you want to combine shopping with a concert.

You could have a nice afternoon in London, have a browse around Oxford street, lunch somewhere (Covent gardens nice - loads of places to eat, good shops too) and easily get to the concert in time.
Most bands don't come on stage at Wembley until after 8:30, most of them nearer to 9pm.
you could leave Oxford street at 7:30, be at Wembley station at 8pm, walk along, and be in the gig by 8:15.
better than spending 2hrs paying over the top prices for the food on offer inside.
