Why didn't the false nails work? After over 50 years of being a nail biter, I had false nails for my son's wedding in June. It was abroad, so my hope was that they would stay on for the weekend. But they lasted and if I damaged one, I had it replaced. All the time my own nails were growing and about 5 weeks ago, I had all the false ones soaked off and, hey presto, I have lovely nails which I now don't want to bite. I have them done every couple of weeks and it's such a novelty for me and real 'me time'. Did you put the false nails on or have them done professionally?
I used to (and sometimes still do) bite my nails. The reason i did it, is i HATE to see mucky nails and dirt behind peoples nails. I used to bite them so they weren't filty like that. Also, hen nails have been biten down they tend to grow uneven which looks terrible too ao i used to bite them down to keep them neat.
Things that helped me were professional gel/acrylic extentions, but also having my nails beautifully painted in a deep red or other trendy colour (black looks good on short nails). You can't see your nails growing and you will be suprised how quick they grow in just a week or so. You can always reapply again to keep looking tidy?
Good luck!
