Does Kazaaa still work??

Has anyone else noticed if Kazaa is still working, as I've noticed that the search box is now greyed out, I've tried uninstalling and then re-installing it, but it's still the same :-(

I wouldn't bother with Kazaa it installs all sorts of nasties on your system. Limewire is very good www.limewire.com or go to www.download.com and look under peer to peer downloads for a full list.

Not sure if it has been closed. Alot of records companies are mounting legal actions due to the legalities of downloading music.

trouble is there are people and websites who reckon kazaa lite is the best, limewire(which is generally recommended) gave me problems(rebooting pc), however limewire appears to be very comprehensive .
but p2ps remain confusing and contradictarory, with winmx and bit torrent now being recommended .....until the next one...

Thanks for that apw171, I've given up with Kazaa now, Limewire seems much better in comparison and doesn't seem to load any of the dreaded spyware either!! I agree with you tali122, I think it's all about flavour of the month when it comes to filesharing programs and what works great for one person is a nightmare for someone else.

I tried Kazaa lite resurrection but I found it to be labelled with viruses and trojans. I now use bearshare and morpheus
