I've just bought a 1997 mondeo and the stereo switches on but no sound comes out!!! the person i bought it off has tried the stereo in another car and it worked fine, he has also tried fitting new speakers but again it didn't work!!! any ideas?

There are two plugs on the back of the radio. One is for the power supply to the radio. The other is for the speaker leads from the radio. Check around the speaker lead plug.(the one with brown and white leads).
