Can anyone help me please?..we're hoping to book a holiday to Turkey for the Oct/Nov school holidays but my passport expires on 18th Feb 2008 and I've been told that a passport needs at least a 6 month valid date from the date of return to the UK...anyone know if this is correct?..many thanks..footymum

This site says 'yes' - that is true
Passports must be valid for at least six months from date of departure from Turkey

You have time to get a new one.
and if you renew it now you will avoid a fees hike in October, and the new passport will still expire in Feb 2018
OT from OP but my passport expries 2 April 08 - would I get away with renewing now to avoid the extra cost?
