is it worse for all mums second time around?
As a lot of you know Im expecting my second child in April next year. With my first pregnancy I would go to bed earlier but that was the only real difference to my life in the first trimester, oh and the onlys sickness i had was a gagging reflex when i brushed my teeth.
This time around Im exhausted, i feel faint all the time and Im right off food because of the constant nausea. I am eating little and often but not enjoying it just to ensure i have some energy.
I spent most of the weekend in bed asleep and yet still wanted more. My blood pressure reading at my booking appointment was 130/80 which considering i get high BP readings at doctors due to phobias was my lowest ever result so i know my BP is low.
is anyone else finding it harder 2nd time around?

The problem is is that the reception classes today and thats the year I look after. Again, this isnt normally a problem but we have had 30 in each class start instead of the average 25 we normally have. Instead of staggering the starts and some going home at lunchtime like they used to do, every starts today and everyone stays all day! Again this shouldnt be a probelm but they were uncontrollable! I noticed they were was 1 teacher and 2 TA's to a class (normally its 1 teacher and 1 TA............but only one mid day meal supervisor to a class! It was a nightmare from start to finish and I really dont want to go back because of how poorly it as made me feel! Ive actually just called my boyfriend and was a quivering wreck! lol
I dont think they will need to do a risk assessment as Im not the first one to be pregnant working that job and everyone else managed fine. Saying that, the last one did take the piddle a little and made the most of getting paid by being off sick.........which Im now tempted to do! lol
Ok, thats that whinge over now too :) lol

red- im on my 3rd and never, ever again. I have SPD so I cant walk and it takes me 15 minutes to get out of bed to do anything. My bones crunch all the time, i'm out of breath, cant get comfortable, have heartburn etc. I cant wait to get this baby out and I have another 8 weeks. I so wanted this baby but I am in pain 24/7 and just want it out NOW! The other night I was so tired but couldn't sleep, took me 15 minutes to get out of bed and by the end I sat on my bed and cried coz I was in so much pain.
Hi, I found second time around *much* harder than the first! For a start you're running about after another child so can't exactly relax when you want.
First time around I was rushing about as normal til about 37 weeks and felt fine after a bit of nausea in the first few weeks.
Second time I had very achey hips/back, felt ginormous and exhausted the whole way through and terrified of how I'd cope. Oh yeah and I got low platelets so couldn't have a home birth which is what I'd really wanted after hating it in hospital first time round (in the event all was straightforward but nooooo I couldn't have her at home!).
The good news is that you'll probably find once you have the baby life will be so much easier than you thought and a lot easier than you found looking after your first baby, which does make up for it honestly!
