HGV Annual test

If our lorry was first registered on 24.09.06 and is going in for annual test on 28.09.07 are we able to drive it on road next week or will it be illegal? someone has tried to tell me "we get a few days grace" but i somehow dont believe that!

Therefore, although you haven't actually got an MOT, it would be valid until the last day of the month if you had one. I think you would be able to drive legally for the odd 4 days. You would certainly have an excellent argument if you were stopped. Best bet is to phone your local VOSA HGV test station and ask them, but I would say you can drive no problem. BTW, this does not apply to cars, as their MOTs are valid to a specific date, not the end of the month.
