Hi I feel a bit daft asking this but my toddler has some Clarks' shoes which need a wash and I dont want to ruin them, they are a beige suede type (although not sure if actual suede), does anyone know how I can wash them without damaging them?

You can buy a suede brush and cleaner in the shoe shops , but try sponging them off and let them dry naturally . As they a Clark's i'm sure they would be the real thing .
there should be the international symbol for leather on them, it is like an open pelt.
also, if you do need to clean them, use the shede cleaner, then afterwards, spray them with a suede protector, about 2.99 a can, and this will not only help them stay clean, it will also give extra water resistance, and prevent the suede colour fading. Also, store them in the original box with the silica gell sachets that will have been in it and this hekps any moisture be drawn out of the shoe and absorbed by the silica , which helps to keep the shoes fresh and clean.
