help choosing between models

Hi,
Thanks for all the earlier help with technical terms, in my price range there are 2, HP6527, Sony VAIO N38E/W Can anyone give me a review on either or does one appear significantly better than the other, (budget is �500) just for using office software at home, downloading music to ipod,, downloading photos from a camera, nothing more whizzy than that,

I pressed send to soon, meant to add have also been recommended the Acer Aspire 5617AWL is usually a lot more but currently has �100 discount bringing it to my �500 budget, I'm not familiar with the brand does this compare to the other two I mentioned, also I want to use a wirelsss router
