Was such a shock and we we're all feeling the strain but after researching myself and looking at the positive side I was able to be strong in front of my nother and father who wernt coping very well.
Thankfully she had recovered fine and as yet been given good prospects. A Very sobering experience!

Hi carly1 as I have posted on filthiestfis's thread my mother in law is 72yrs old, she's had bowel cancer twice and also in the womb, she's had extensive surgery and chemotherapy and is extremely well. My friend in work has seen her husband through surgery and radiotherapy for first a tumour of the salivary gland and then and then a brain tumour, he's in his sixties and has made fantastic progress. Carly1 its ok to feel crap but take heart love, rooting for you!
There are many, many stories of people who survive cancer and who are in the same boat as you. I see them most days.
Stay positive, stay focused and as easy as it is for me to say this, don't let it be the main focus for your life. Sometimes it's easy to concentrate only on the fight and forget what it is you're fighting for. Take time to appreciate all the things that make life worth the battle.
Good luck to you.
