Help!!

Please will someone help?

This PC is running alot slower than before & now it states that it has detected malicious spyware.
To fix this, I have to Register. This brings up another pop-up, giving the prices to do this (in dollars). I don't want to pay anything.
What can I do (for free). I am not very good with computers, as you can probably tell !

The 'malicious spyware' which you've received an offer to remove, is the same spyware which is generating these 'helpful' messages! (It's a modern version of the 'protection' offers which Ronnie & Reggie Kray used to so helpfully make to businesses in London's East End).

You should be able to get rid of it (for free) by running AdAware and/or SpyBot. At least one of these free programs should be on every PC. Download them from these links:

And "has" make sure you have an up-to-date anti virus program, and a firewall program.

AVG is a good free anti virus. Update it every day and run it every day.

Zone Alarm is a good free Firewall.

Note AVG and ZoneAlarm also sell software, but it should be easy enough to find the free versions on the web.
