The breed is called Maine ****. They are BIG, fluffy, with a very specific color pattern. Here's a link that tells more about them: http://www.fanciers.com/breed-faqs/maine-****-faq.html.
Ah, the overzealous AB slang-catcher. The word above starts with C, rhymes with loon, and refers to the breed's resemblance to racc**ns
You'll have to replace the appropriate word in the link above to get it to work.
Maine Raccoon, minus the "Rac." ;) One of the oldest natural breeds in North America, the Maine **** is generally regarded as a native of the state of Maine (in fact, the Maine **** is the official Maine State Cat). A number of attractive legends surround its origin. A wide-spread (though biologically impossible) belief is that it originated from matings between semi-wild, domestic cats and raccoons. This myth, bolstered by the bushy tail and the most common coloring (a raccoon-like brown tabby) led to the adoption of the name 'Maine ****.'
