paint on carpet

my nephew has just thrown a tin of dukux silk emulsion paint on to a cream carpet.....

how do i get it out??....help me before it sets.. thanks!!

turps or petrol. put petrol onto an old bit of carpet (if you have one) and rub gentle.

Or as its only emulsion you could try carpet shampoo?
