Britons retiring early to France to be ill.
Do you think the many Britons retiring to France for their old age are selfish. They French Government are tightenig up so that only pensioners can get free medical attention. These people have not contributed a bean in their working life to the french economy, and now expect the french tax payer to foot all their medical bills. Bl00dy scoungers.

I do think that Brits expect a lot when they go abroad then get miffed when 'foreigners' expect the same when they come here.
If the policy in France is that you have to have health insurance then so be it. If you can't afford that then don't live there. And if people don't like us giving our health service away to all and sundry then stop voting the same government in and do something about it instead of just whinging.

I've just come back from a holiday in France, and yes, you do have to pay a toll on some of their motorways, but not all of them. Reluctantly ,I must say that I would sooner drive over there than in this congested country of ours, the French roads are superbly maintained, and of course much emptier than ours.Their only fault is that everyone drives on the wrong side of the road.
