4 Answers
Hi, Does anyone know of a reliable website where I can buy around 4 dozen roses in colours of my choice, and some foliage at reasonable prices, I don't want a bouquet, I'm going to make posies and buttonholes for my daughter's wedding next Spring, and so need a firm delivery date, and to make sure the flowers will arrive in good condition. Hope someone can help, Thank you in advance! M

Let meknow where you live and i will tell you where thenearest one is - i used to have a florist
the mark up in flower shops is 100% plus VAT, and you buy roses in wraps of 20. I would go for grand gala variety - good sturdy red rose and go for fern, soft ruscus or leather leaf as good economical foliage
they are dead easy to do ONCE YOU GET THE KNACK- you will need hard and soft florist wire and green paper stemtex to cover the stalk. Hard wire up stalk and soft wire across stalk to wrap leaves in
you will need to do them no earlier than the night before and bear in mind how busy you will be - it may not be worth it. do not put in fridge - mist in water and leave in cool dark place
keep away from any time around valentines or mothers day as the prices soar

Hi baileybird,
Thank you so much for the advice, I have tried to find out where our nearest flower market is situated, but to no avail so far.
I live in South Wales, about 30 miles from Cardiff and 20 miles from Swansea. I will need shades of pink and cream coloured roses, and would be very grateful if you could suggest some varieties to look out for in these colours too, again thank you so much for the advice, it's much appreciated!
