No Hot water!!!
Hi
I am in the process of getting a new fitted kitchen, so i have had to take out my kitchen and taps and obviously turned off my water.
My cold water has been turned off under my sink, and the hot water is turned off in the bathroom where the boiler is. The water has been off for 3 days, and we then put the new sink and new taps (mixer) in. I have full flowing hot and cold water upstairs in the bathroom and the shower, and the heating is workng fine.. In the kitchen, I have got very little cold water and no hot water at all. When I am trying to turn on the hot water tap in the kitchen, the overflow pipe is pouring out with water. The hot water sounds like it is trying to come through. Doe is sound like an air lock or the taps have been fitted wrong or something else, so i can try and eliminate.
Can anyone help?? What do you think the problem is?

Overall- sounds like airlocks in the system. When you turn the water supply back on do it with all the taps in the on position- only turn them off when they are flowing properly. That normally gets rid of airlocks. You might need to isolate the incoming water again, drain down and then refill the system again.
The overflow is odd as you say it only happens witha downstairs hot tap?? I would check the hot water supply tank in the loft anyway and check that the float is closing the valve properly.
