Yup ! Blackpool is quite a violent place at the weekend with all sorts on berks knocking the crap out of each other............
The only thing I can offer in its defence is that I bet not a single bl00dy one of them lives here. The rest of UK seems to export its d1ckheads to Blackpool at the weekend.
Us locals avoid the town centre on a Friday and Saturday night......
But did you have a good time, anyway ?

I can't stand the place(I live about 8 miles away)
Mind you where I live there was a violent murder a year and a bit ago, some lads from Manchester came here and trouble started in the pub,a gang of about 40 locals supposedly jumped the blokes and one of them ended up getting kicked to death....very sad.

It seems that most of the trouble IS due to excess alcohol consumption but I think a lot of the pub/bars are to blame for this.
We have a glut of them all chasing an ever-dwindling clientele..........and so are having to offer more and more incentives to keep the drinkers in their particular premises.
'Mad amounts of drinks for pennies' is bound to encourage irresponsible drinking....................I know it would have me when I was younger !

The hen/stag parties seem to be spoiling Blackpool at the weekends, though it's nice to see a lot of the decent hotels are now refusing to accept their bookings. Going out, having a couple over the normal and a good laugh is fine, going out, drinking a weeks wage in one night and then maiming someone for life isn't, sadly a lot of these parties don't see the difference.
I would love to see Blackpool go back to being the family orientated place it used to be, but that's not where the money is these days, shame though.

isnt blackpool now starting to cater for whats called " the pink pound"
when i was there in may the gay pride march was on and the hotel i stayed in the owner said there were whole streets in blackpool that actively advertised for gay couples or parties .
so maybe that will lead to less stag parties and less fighting who knows eh ?
