Walking home from work tonight I made the mistake of crossing against the light. I had too quickly made the assumption that the giant silver mercedes people carrier coming towards me was slowing down...oh how wrong I was!!The torrent of verbal abuse that followed -"you stupid * * * * c****" left me well shaken. I actually felt as if I had been slapped across my face...and needed to beg forgiveness for my stupidity. Why is there so much anger in our society......or am I being naive to still expect consideration? I know I made a mistake but does it justify abuse from a stranger?
in lynne trusses book "talk to the hand" she describes it as the universal eff off reflex. It's just that, a reflex. I bet the people are lovely really
maybe they got a fright and it was a knee-jerk reaction, I might have done the same and Im not an abusive person, my car will be having a swear box fitted any day now
sometimes people make the assumtion that others will abide by the law, it probably scared the driver because he /she was going to fast and assumed you would wait...........having been knocked over and also knocked over someone else, im alot more wary when im driving.Dont think always someone will slow down because they wont, and not to lecture, but pay attention, only have one life...:)

the only time i use that sort of language is if some ignorant f--ker (boy racer) almost runs me over in a built up area. You're right there is too much libel but u just have to live with it. when i worked in kwik save i was used to phrases like that, from the staff mainly lol
Haha-thanks for the laugh, boo ......i suppose my stepping off the curb was a knee-jerk reaction also-I was on a 'roll' and just couldn't stop. Oh well-at least there was no contact between us!
