Verbal abuse
13 Answers
Walking home from work tonight I made the mistake of crossing against the light. I had too quickly made the assumption that the giant silver mercedes people carrier coming towards me was slowing down...oh how wrong I was!!The torrent of verbal abuse that followed -"you stupid * * * * c****" left me well shaken. I actually felt as if I had been slapped across my face...and needed to beg forgiveness for my stupidity. Why is there so much anger in our society......or am I being naive to still expect consideration? I know I made a mistake but does it justify abuse from a stranger?

If it happens again go and speak to them but put on a spastic voice.
Not wishing to demean our handicapped brothers and sisters, the driver will always be racked with guilt.
A good stutter and say something like
"So so so sorr sorry mister. P p p p please don't tell ma ma ma my mummy. She will b b b be very cross. I am so so sor sor sorry"
Trust me they will feel bad afterwards.
