Are there any regulations ( tax or otherwise) around leaving a job under a voluntary severance scheme and then going back to work for the same organisation? TIA

Some organisations have a rule that they will not re-employ people who they have recently made redundant. However, I think this is an individual company policy rather than any legislation. I worked for a company, part of whose business was sold off. I was made redundant by the acquiring company and then went back to work for my old company and there was no problem or restrictive arrangement.
